Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data myCv collects, why, and how you can control it. myCv is built and operated for mycv.tn.

1. Data we collect

• Account data: your name and email address, and a hashed password (or a Google account identifier and avatar, if you sign in with Google).
• CV and portfolio content: everything you enter into your CV — display name, job title, photo, skills, experience, education, contact details, and any platform usernames you link.
• Connected-account tokens: if you connect Dribbble, we store an access token (encrypted at rest) so we can fetch your shots to display on your portfolio. We don't request or store your Dribbble password.
• Messages: if a visitor contacts you through your published CV's contact form, we store their name, email, and message so you can read and reply to it.
• Visit analytics: for premium accounts, we record aggregate visit data for your own CV page — approximate visit duration and whether a visitor is new or returning — using a long-lived cookie set on your CV page (not used for advertising or cross-site tracking).
• Payment records: if you subscribe to premium, we keep a record of the subscription (plan, dates, status) to manage your billing.
• Newsletter: if you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address for that purpose only.

2. How we use your data

We use your data to operate myCv: to render and publish your CV page, authenticate you, process subscriptions, deliver contact-form messages, show you your own visit stats, fetch your linked platform content, and send you service-related email (and newsletter content, if you opted in).

3. Third-party services

myCv integrates with a small number of third-party services to provide its features:

• Google — for "Sign in with Google."
• Dribbble — if you choose to connect it, to display your shots.
• YouTube Data API / GitHub API — to fetch and display public videos or repositories for the usernames you list, when those platforms are configured as available.

Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing the data they process on their end.

4. Cookies

myCv uses a session cookie to keep you signed in, and a long-lived visitor cookie on published CV pages to distinguish new from returning visitors for the page owner's own analytics. We don't use third-party advertising cookies.

5. Data retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. Deleting your account removes your CV, its published page, contact messages, and connected-account tokens. You can request a copy or deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

6. Your rights

You can access, correct, or delete most of your data directly from your dashboard and profile settings. For anything you can't change yourself — or to unsubscribe from the newsletter — contact us and we'll handle it.

7. Children's privacy

myCv isn't directed at children and isn't intended for use by anyone below the age required to consent to this policy in their jurisdiction.

8. Changes to this policy

We'll update the "last updated" date above whenever we make material changes to this policy.
